Perennial Van Lines

We first contracted with Perennial in August 2023, for a move to our new home 4 states away in February. Our original quote was estimated at $12,000, and informed that QA would call us a few days before the move to review everything. Their new price came in at $10,000 more !! Needless to say, we are extremely upset with this increase, especially since there was no obvious reason for the substantial price change, after comparing the first quote and second quotes! When we articulated our dismay and upset to the manager, our concerns were dismissed and he informed us that our move was on hold in order for us to have time to adjust to the higher price. He used very dismissive and condescending tones throughout the entire call. When we expressed our upset with his tone, he responded, "do you want a solution or do you want to just complain?" This is not the compassionate or caring company that we initially hired for our move. Moreover, we repeatedly asked to speak to another manager there were none above him! You don't go to "Jeff Bezos" when you have a problem with Amazon ! We expect someone to contact us immediately to make sure our move goes forward smoothly.

Team were very diligent, detailed and clear in preparing the initial quote which I found to be reasonable and competitive, once the booking was confirmed they maintained contact and on the day of the move the removal team kept me informed as to where they were whilst driving to me, they were right on time, really polite, really efficient and took great care to organize everything and pack and wrap carefully, this care and attention was also evident at the destination which after a 3.5 hour drive was quite impressive, no sign of exhaustion and their standards were maintained. I would not hesitate to use them again and will happily recommend them.

Hi, please avoid using this company if you value your time or money. I was initially so pleased with Connor and his team when they reached out for a quote but they do just that. Help you get a quote that seems like the best deal against competitors but fall through when you really need them. I wish I could have recorded our video call for inventory. The only person that was really the most Helpful was the customer service person Lauren but by that time the damage is already done. I understand that the estimate is just that, however our actual total was $4000+ over our initial walkthrough on video call. I think what I was most disappointed with was with the lack of communication after you pay your deposit. I texted Connor and called and he sent me to the "dispatch unit" which said they were helping too many customers and is basically just a voicemail. No help at all. He will not text back unless you are asking for another quote such as moving your car. Not only that but Please go over your contract thoroughly because what the rep will tell you on the phone to get your business will leave out SO MUCH more vital information. Please know Perennial Van Lines that this is people's livelihood you are playing with just to make a buck. Just shameful. They basically get the contract and run leaving you either no answers or talking to you in a very condescending way like you have no idea how packing a truck works. Also because they are a broker there are so many communication issues when the actual movers in your area come.

Would give them negative star if there is a option. Moved from VA to Atlanta in April 2019. Gave them a complete list of inventory and paid the advance without negotiating the price. On the day of the move, people came on time and picked the item however they charged $400 more than the invoice price. They claimed the Cubic feet is more than what was quoted in the invoice. The items in the inventory didn't change. Infact the overall number of items were exactly same as quoted in the inventory. The people came to pick the items were so unprofessional and unfriendly.

Since I have to fly the next day, I paid the additional $400 that they charged. Within 3 days my shipment reached Atlanta however everything came in a bad shape. My TV stand was broken and completely unusable. My grinder and so many items that I packed well we're broken and damaged. The guys came to drop the items claimed that they are just the driver and I need to talk to the company that took the order about the damaged items.

All my UHaul boxes were torn and completely unusable. The items within the boxes were also broken. I called Perennial van lines the next day to report the issues. They didn't bother to listen and said someone from the customer call will call me back. I didn't receive any call after that.

Please never ever engage Perennial van lines for any moving needs. Totally unprofessional people and service.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2350

On June 1st I put a $200 deposit down to have my Mazda CX5 picked up and transported from San Diego to Michigan at the end of June. The quote provided by Alexis at Perennial Van Lines was for a total of $1,200.I decided to use this company because I also put a deposit down to have them move my household goods (thinking great, this company is a one stop shop). The household move ended up being a complete disaster where I was overcharged at the time of pick-up compared to the estimate I was provided (I’m still trying to resolve this issue). The contract was written for my car to be picked up on June 29th or 30th. On June 29th, I was texting with Alexis to provide her with an updated pick-up address for my car. She said she made the change on her end and we were “good to go”. I didn’t hear anything from her, Perennial Van Lines or any other car carrier all weekend. My car never got picked up in San Diego and I had to get on a plane on July 1st to leave town. I had to leave my car with a friend and then fly back to San Diego ($400 plane ticket) a few days later to then drive my car across the country back to Michigan because I couldn’t find a car carrier to pick-up my car before the holiday on such short notice or find a carrier at a reasonable price. The complete absence of Alexis and Perennial Van Lines Customer Service is inexcusable. I left voicemails and sent emails asking them to cancel my move and process my $200 refund. I have yet to see an email or refund so I resorted to filing a dispute with my bank. I want my $200 deposit back and a resolution to my household move.
